Edition 2025 — Fogheraccia of Saint Joseph

In 2025 too, the Fogheraccia of Saint Joseph illuminated the free beach of Piazza Primo Maggio in Cattolica. Initially set for Wednesday, March 18th at 9:00 PM, the event was postponed to Saturday, March 21st due to a wave of bad weather affecting the entire Romagna Riviera. The bonfire, organized by Avis Cattolica with the patronage of the Municipality, bid farewell to winter with hot tea, mulled wine, and donut, true to tradition.

The 2025 edition

The Fogheraccia of Saint Joseph 2025 in Cattolica was scheduled for Wednesday, March 18th at 9:00 PM on the free beach of Piazza Primo Maggio, but forecasts of a wave of bad weather on the coast forced organizers to postpone the rite to Saturday, March 21st.

As per tradition, the large pile of wood was lit by the sea at dusk, bidding farewell to winter and welcoming spring. The event, with free admission, was organized by Avis Cattolica with the patronage of the Municipality of Cattolica and the collaboration of local associations. Around the fire, hot tea, mulled wine, and the classic Romagna donut were offered.
