Fòcara of Sant'Antonio Abate

The 2025 edition of the Fòcara of Sant'Antonio Abate took place on Sunday, January 26, 2025, in Guagnano (LE), at Largo Pertini. The day was marked by the procession with the statue of Saint Anthony the Abbot along the main streets of the town, followed by the blessing and the lighting of the large bonfire of vine shoots, fueled by the winter pruning of the local vineyards.

The evening was accompanied by fireworks and moments of music and conviviality, confirming the Fòcara as one of the most attended winter events in Guagnano's calendar. The event, free and outdoors, once again united faith, rural tradition, and a sense of community in the heart of the Apulian Salento.
