Edition 2025 — Focara della Befana

In 2025, the Focara della Befana once again illuminated Aradeo on the night of January 5th. Bonfires lit at the town's crossroads marked the eve of the Epiphany, with the warmth of the flames, folk music, and families gathering around the fire, following a ritual repeated every year in the Salento village.

On the night of January 5, 2025, Aradeo experienced its traditional Focara della Befana. As is customary, the fòcare were raised at the crossroads of the historic center and set ablaze at nightfall, transforming the town's streets into a path of light and embers.

Around the fires, the community gathered to bid farewell to the old year and welcome the Epiphany, in a festive atmosphere marked by folk music. The ritual, of ancient origin and a symbol of purification and rebirth, confirmed once again in 2025 the deep bond between Aradeo and the Salento tradition of winter bonfires.
