Focaccia Festival

The 46th edition of the Focaccia Festival in Cassano delle Murge was held on Saturday, August 23, and Sunday, August 24, 2025, in Piazza Aldo Moro and Via Magg. Turitto, starting at 7:00 PM. The event, organized by the UNPLI La Murgianella APS association with the patronage of the Municipality, brought to the square focaccia prepared by local bakers according to traditional recipes, served hot and fragrant at the food stalls.

The highlight of the event was the concert by Tony Esposito on August 24: the famous percussionist, known for hits like "Kalimba de Luna" and "Papa Chico," energized the square with his mix of percussion, jazz, and world music. The evening was opened by DJ Marco Guacci from Radio Norba. As per tradition, the festival was followed by the Panzerotto Festival, dedicated to another specialty of Apulian cuisine.
