A Race in the Accordion Capital

The Fisarmonica Run - Trofeo Avis Loris Baldelli is one of the most beloved running events in the Marche region and takes place in Castelfidardo, in the Province of Ancona. The name is no coincidence: Castelfidardo is universally recognized as the world capital of the accordion, a city where this instrument has been handcrafted since the 19th century. The race celebrates this identity in an original way, awarding winners with authentic accordions and other instruments made by local companies.

The Routes

The event offers three routes that cross the city:

• Competitive Race of 9.8 km, valid for the regional FIDAL calendar, starting at 9:00 AM from Via Matteotti;
• Fun Run of 5 km, open to everyone;
• Walk of 2.5 km, ideal for families and amateurs.

The route passes through the city center and continues into the Fornaci and San Rocchetto districts, offering panoramic views of the Conero promontory and the Adriatic coast in some sections, before concluding in the evocative Parco delle Rimembranze, at the foot of the National Monument of the Marche, with arrival around 10:30 AM and awards ceremony to follow.

Sport, Memory, and Solidarity

The race is dedicated to the memory of Loris Baldelli and is organized by Atletica Amatori Avis Castelfidardo, a sports club linked to AVIS that has promoted the culture of giving and running for decades. The event has a strong charitable purpose: part of the registration fees is donated to the LILT of Ancona, which is involved in cancer prevention and research. Running or walking thus becomes a gesture of solidarity.

Prizes That Tell a Story of the Territory

The distinctive feature of the Fisarmonica Run remains the prize pool: the winners of the overall categories are awarded diatonic accordions offered by local companies, guitars, and local craft products. A direct tribute to Castelfidardo's musical and manufacturing vocation, making this race a unique event in the Marche running scene.
