Edition 2025 — Fires of Saint Anthony
The 2025 edition of the Fires of Saint Anthony Abbot renewed the ancient ritual of bonfires lit in multiple points of the city in Giovinazzo, the heart of a tradition listed in the Apulian regional register of fire-related festive rituals. Around the fires, between Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and the Villa Comunale, the community gathered for tastings, concerts, and entertainment.
Among the highlights were the blessing of the animals, the theatrical performance of the 'Expulsion of Prince Orsini', and the projection of the life and legend of Saint Anthony Abbot, with areas dedicated to people with disabilities near the Central Bonfire. The edition also hosted the Puro Cioccolato Festival, now in its third year, enriching the gastronomic offerings of the event in the coastal town of the province of Bari.
