Filò — Storytelling Festival for Children

Stories Take Center Stage in Concesio

Filò is a traveling storytelling festival for boys and girls that involves the libraries of Valle Trompia, in the Province of Brescia. In Concesio, the festival is hosted at the BiCO – Municipal Library, on Via Mattei, and offers a program of shows, workshops, and meetings dedicated to reading, illustration, and storytelling, designed to introduce children to the pleasure of stories.

A Festival for All Ages of Young Readers

Filò's program is structured around specific age groups to offer each child the most suitable experience: from workshops inspired by Gianni Rodari and the "grammar of fantasy," to meetings with illustrated books, to comic workshops and theatrical performances. A journey that combines play, creativity, and a love for books.

A Network of Libraries

Filò is the result of collaboration between the libraries of Valle Trompia — Concesio, Villa Carcina, Sarezzo, Gardone Val Trompia — which together create a program spread across the territory. Events are free admission with mandatory booking, given the limited capacity of the rooms.

Culture and Community

By promoting reading from the earliest age, Filò plays an important role for the community of Concesio and the valley: not just entertainment, but an investment in the cultural growth of the youngest, in a welcoming and free environment like that of the public library.
