Edition 2025 — Filetto Renaissance
Filetto Renaissance 2025
The fourth edition of Filetto Renaissance was held from August 11th to 15th, 2025 in the walled village of Filetto, a hamlet of Villafranca in Lunigiana, organized by the Senza Tempo APS Association of Sarzana. The central theme was the passage of Charles VIII of France through Lunigiana during his campaign toward Naples.
The five days animated the squares and streets of the village with street performances, medieval, Celtic, and folk music, dance, theater, flag-wavers, Renaissance pageants, and combat demonstrations. Every evening at 6:30 PM in Via del Borghetto, conferences and presentations took place: highlights included "Lunigianesi in Rome" with Stefano Tozzi, "Abandoned Places of Lunigiana" with Martina Fai and Lorenzo Pecunia, and a meeting on the recovery of native grape varieties with Enzo Giorgi.
