Filettino in Corsa

The 2025 edition, the debut

The first edition of Filettino in Corsa took place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Filettino, the highest municipality in Lazio at 1,063 meters above sea level. The event, organized by Italiana Running ASD with the patronage of the Municipality, started from Largo Martin Filetico, near the former municipal building.

The track featured an undulating 3.2 km town loop repeated three times, for a total of 9.6 km. About 180 athletes representing 52 clubs responded to the call, a remarkable figure for a debut in a mountain village. The technical direction was entrusted to the FIDAL judges' group of Frosinone.

Among the men, Diego Papoccia (Atletica Ferentino) won with a time of 32'08"; among the women, the victory went to Serena Fanella, also from Atletica Ferentino, in 38'07". Alongside the competitive race, a non-competitive run took place, which also saw an athlete accompanied by a guide. In addition to the top three overall, all categories were awarded, with a commemorative medal and race pack for participants.
