Fieruccia (June Fair)

The 2025 edition of the Fieruccia took place at the Parco della Quercia Rossa in Bussi sul Tirino, in the province of Pescara, staying true to its historical structure: the livestock market on the last Saturday of May and the great market for tools and local products on the first Sunday of June.

The event recreated the atmosphere of the past, when shepherds, farmers, and artisans secured their livelihoods through bartering and livestock trading. There was no shortage of farm animals, food stands with traditional dishes — pecora alla callara, porchetta, wine, and beer — and local crafts, in a day of celebration that united adults and children around the flavors and wisdom of Abruzzo's peasant civilization.
