Edition 2025 — Fiera Medievale Franca

The 21st edition of the Fiera Medievale Franca took place on September 20th and 21st, 2025, in the historic center of Mesagne, transformed into a medieval Frederick II village. Two evenings of costumed processions, drums, sword duels, and historical archery on the Castle lawn, amidst falconry, jesters, stilt walkers, dances, and an artisan market, with the Medieval Dinner in Piazza Criscuolo and a fire show to close the event.

21st edition, September 20-21, 2025

The twenty-first edition of the Fiera Medievale Franca was held on Saturday, September 20th, and Sunday, September 21st, 2025, in the historic center of Mesagne. Both evenings featured historical processions and costumed performers along the village streets, drum performances and wandering musicians, sword duels and historical archery competitions on the Castle lawn, medieval encampments, falconry, jesters, stilt walkers, and dances.

The Medieval Dinner «La Taverna dei Cavalieri» was set up in Piazza Criscuolo starting at 8:00 PM, with a banquet, ancient music, and entertainment. On Sunday, September 21st, the program included a book presentation on Frederick II in the Castle Auditorium (7:00 PM), a medieval theatrical performance in the Castle atrium (8:30 PM), and a fire show in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele (10:00 PM). The organization was handled by the Gruppo Storico Città di Mesagne and Meghy Costumes d'Époque, with the patronage of the Municipality of Mesagne, the Puglia Region, and UNPLI – Pro Loco Puglia, and the collaboration of the provincial Confesercenti of Brindisi.
