Edition 2025 — Sicily Regional Cross Country Championships

In 2025, the Sicily Regional Cross Country Championships once again enlivened the island's athletics winter, with youth and absolute categories competing in cross country events. The event confirmed the vitality of the Sicilian cross country movement, crowning regional champions in every category.

2025 Edition

The 2025 edition of the Sicily Regional Cross Country Championships saw the island's top specialists compete in the Esordienti, Ragazzi/e, and Cadetti/e categories, in addition to the absolute races. Among the youth, the Ragazze regional title (1 km) was won by Daria Brancaleone (A.S.D. Trinacria Sport) in 3'30", while in the Cadette category (2 km), Alessia Santonocito (ASD Altis Athletics) prevailed in 6'47".

The event, included in the FIDAL Sicily regional winter calendar, confirmed the deep roots of cross country running in the region and served as an important selection stage for the national phases, anticipating the 2026 Syracuse event.
