Edition 2025 — Fico Festival

In the summer of 2025, the village of Fico, in Valderice, renewed its appointment with the Fico Festival, a celebration dedicated to the ancient flavors of the Trapani territory. Along the village streets, visitors enjoyed sweet and savory fried pizzette, cabbucci with sausage and sweet-and-sour onions, ricotta-filled cassatelle, and sfince, accompanied by evenings of live music and folk entertainment in the spirit of Sicilian popular tradition.

The 2025 edition of the Fico Festival took place in August in the village of Fico, in the municipality of Valderice (province of Trapani). The event showcased the specialties of local peasant cuisine — fried pizzette, cabbucci with sausage and sweet-and-sour onions, cassatelle, and sfince — along with tastings of local products, live music, and moments of folk entertainment. A summer event deeply felt by the community, capable of attracting visitors from neighboring towns and promoting the gastronomic traditions of Western Sicily.
