The 2025 edition of the Saint Matthew festival

In 2025, Marina di Casal Velino once again celebrated its patron saint during the week of September 21st, with the religious program managed by the parish and secular events organized by the Pro Loco with the support of the Municipality of Casal Velino, in the Province of Salerno.

The festival season began earlier in the month with the Saint Matthew Tournament, the fourth edition of the 5-a-side football tournament promoted by the Youth Forum of Casal Velino with the patronage of the Municipality and the Pro Loco Marina di Casal Velino, held from September 1st to 15th, 2025, at the new "Ardisani" sports field location in Bivio di Acquavella. On the waterfront, during the days of the festival, a gastronomic event dedicated to the local catch took place at the tourist port, along with evening performances in Piazza Marconi, including the Saint Matthew concert on September 22nd.

As every year, the procession with the statue of the saint, the devotion linked to the Chapel of Saint Matthew, and the fireworks display over the sea symbolically closed the summer in Casal Velino.
