Festival of the Three Saints (San Rocco, SS. Crocifisso, San Giacomo)

The 2025 edition of the Festival of the Three Saints confirmed the vitality of a tradition that has been passed down in Galati Mamertino for over a century and a half. In 2025, the three ancient statues of the Santissimo Crocifisso, San Rocco, and San Giacomo were once again carried in procession through the streets of the village in the province of Messina.

Among the most heartfelt moments were the crowning of the Crucifix with braided wheat ears and the entrustment of the town through the lighting of the votive lamp. The processions, accompanied by brass bands, and the evening gatherings in Piazza San Giacomo attracted the faithful, returning emigrants, and visitors, renewing the strong sense of community that characterizes the patronal festival of Galati Mamertino.
