The Frati Festival of San Giacomo
The Festival of the Pardon of Assisi, popularly known as 'Sagra dei Frati', is the festival that animates the hamlet of San Giacomo di Monselice, in the Euganean Hills in the province of Padua, between July and August. It takes place in the scenic setting of the Cloister of San Giacomo, at Via San Giacomo 17.
Gastronomy and Solidarity
The heart of the festival is the food stall, open in the evening from 7:30 PM, with fish specialties (paella is one of the most anticipated events, by reservation). There is also a charity raffle, bouncy castles for the little ones, and musical evenings of various kinds. Part of the proceeds is donated to the Valnogaredo Family House, which assists families and children in difficulty.
The Pardon of Assisi
The festival retains its religious dimension with the solemn Mass of the Pardon of Assisi, celebrated on August 2nd, and prayer moments related to the Franciscan indulgence. An event that intertwines faith, conviviality, and social commitment within the fabric of Euganean festivals.
