Festival of the Most Holy Crucifix

The 2025 edition of the Festival of the Most Holy Crucifix confirmed the strong bond between Bompensiere and its patron saint. As every year, the festivities began with the preparation triduum in the Mother Church, marked by the rosary, Eucharistic adoration, and Eucharistic celebrations.

On the main day, the marching band opened the day by parading through the village streets, before the Solemn Mass and the solemn procession of the Crucifix statue along the Via dei Santi. The religious dimension was joined by the usual popular festivities: performances, fireworks, and stalls featuring Bompensiere's gastronomic specialties, from mbriulati to pizzetto. A day of strong participation that brought together residents, returning emigrants, and visitors in the province of Caltanissetta.
