Festival of the Most Holy Crucifix Redeemer

A rich calendar of faith and celebration

The 2025 edition opened on the evening of August 21 with a candlelight procession to welcome the Sacred Statue at the Madonna della Greca church, thus kicking off the festivities. This was followed by the Holy Novena, from August 22 to 30, the spiritual heart of the feast. On August 30, at 8:00 PM, the traditional blessing of the agricultural fields took place in Contrada Paradiso, at the small church of the Santi Medici.

The main day: August 31

The culminating day, Sunday, August 31, 2025, featured Eucharistic celebrations in the morning, including one presided over by Bishop Vincenzo Pisanello. In the evening, after Holy Mass, the solemn city procession departed at 7:30 PM through the streets of Latiano. The feast then continued in Piazza Umberto I with a pizzica evening featuring Gioacchino De Filippo, concluding with a fireworks display. The organization was managed by the SS. Crocifisso Festival Committee of Latiano.
