In 2025, Villanova Marchesana also celebrated the Madonna Assunta on August 15th with the traditional Ferragosto festival, including celebrations in the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta and community events along the Po River organized by the Pro Loco 'Amici del Po'.
On August 15, 2025, Villanova Marchesana, in the province of Rovigo, renewed its devotion to the Madonna Assunta, the town's patron saint, with the traditional Ferragosto festival. The celebrations took place in the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta, accompanied by convivial moments in the village overlooking the Po River, in the spirit of a tradition preserved by the community and the Pro Loco 'Amici del Po'.
