Festival of the Encounter (Madonna della Lavina)

The 2025 edition of the Festival of the Encounter renewed one of the most deeply felt rites of the Nebrodi community in Cerami, in the province of Enna. The procession, organized by the Archconfraternity of Saint Michael the Archangel with the participation of other confraternities, carried the statues of the Madonna della Lavina, Saint Joseph, and Archangel Michael through the ancient streets of the historic center.

As per tradition, the moment of the meeting between the statues, with their characteristic bows, and the fireworks along Via Roma drew faithful, emigrants, and visitors alike, before the procession climbed toward the upper part of the town.
