In Villa del Ferro, a hamlet of the municipality of Val Liona in the Berici Hills (province of Vicenza), the Festival of the Cesola is the event that concludes the month of May. It takes its name from the Cesola, the oratory of San Lorenzo, and is linked to the memory of the village's first small church.

A festival born over eighty years ago

The event was born more than eighty years ago in memory of the small church dedicated to Saint Lawrence. It concludes the month of the rosary, recited every evening in front of the ancient wooden statue of the Madonna: a devotional dimension that remains the heart of the festival, intertwined with popular conviviality.

Charity raffle, music, and gastronomy

Organized by the Parish of San Martino of Villa del Ferro with the patronage of the Municipality of Val Liona, the festival offers a very rich charity raffle, musical, theatrical, and dance evenings, and a well-stocked food and wine stand. On the menu: tasty first courses, grilled meat, wild boar, side dishes, desserts, and wine tasting.
