Festival of Saint Liberal — Patron Saint of Treviso

The 2026 edition of the Festival of Saint Liberal, patron saint of Treviso, had its central moment in the solemn Eucharistic celebration in the Cathedral, presided over by Bishop Michele Tomasi at 6:30 PM in the presence of civil authorities. During the Mass, the diocesan pastoral cooperators renewed their promises. The day also offered a cultural meeting in the Cathedral's oratory and, in the afternoon, guided tours of the Church of Saint Francis and the Baptistery of Saint John the Baptist.

Monday, April 27, 2026 — Treviso

• 3:30 PM — Visit to the Church of Saint Francis accompanied by a Conventual Franciscan friar, on the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi; a visit to the Baptistery of Saint John the Baptist with the "Chiese aperte" association is also possible
• 4:30 PM — In the Cathedral's oratory, meeting on "Pelagianism and Gnosticism – Heresies of Yesterday and Today" with don Virgilio Sottana and Cecilia Magoga
• 6:30 PM — Solemn Eucharistic celebration in the Cathedral presided over by Bishop Michele Tomasi, in the presence of civil authorities, with the renewal of promises by pastoral cooperators
• Extraordinary opening of the National Museum Collezione Salce (San Gaetano site)

How to Get There

The Treviso Cathedral is located in Piazza Duomo, in the historic center, a short distance from Treviso Centrale station. The city is reachable by car from the A27 and A4 motorways.

Admission

The celebration in the Cathedral and religious initiatives are free to enter; some extraordinary openings of museums and churches may be free on the day of the festival.
