Festival of Saint Leo

The 2025 edition of the Festival of Saint Leo took place on May 8th in Sinagra (Province of Messina), confirming the traditional calendar of the patronal feast.

At 11:00 AM, Holy Mass was celebrated, followed by the procession of the relic of the Holy Cross and Saint Leo to the Church of the Crucifix. In the afternoon, a second Holy Mass was held, along with the traditional route of the statue, carried on the shoulders of the faithful in two evocative processions through the streets of the historic center. At 9:30 PM, the Eucharistic blessing took place in the Mother Church, followed at 10:00 PM by a variety show featuring "I Respinti" and Ivan Fiore, provided by the Municipal Administration, and at 11:45 PM, the conclusion with fireworks. The festivities were enlivened by the marches of the "Vincenzo Bellini" Band of Sinagra.
