Edition 2025 — Saint Calogero Festival
2025 Edition
The 2025 edition of the Saint Calogero Festival in Naro, in the province of Agrigento, renewed the devotional rites that have marked the patronal feast for centuries. On June 18, the main day, the statue of the Black Saint was carried in procession on the 'straula', dragged through the streets of the historic center by the faithful clutching the long rope, amidst shouts of 'Viva Diu e San Calò'.
As per tradition, there was no shortage of blessed votive bread, brass band parades, entertainment in the squares, firework displays, and the large street fair. The festival confirmed the strong bond of the Naro community with its patron, in a celebration that intertwines faith, history, and the identity of the Sicily Region.
