Festival of Maria SS. of Capo d'Orlando (Patron Saint)

The 2025 Edition

On October 22, 2025, Capo d'Orlando celebrated its Patron Saint Maria Santissima with choral participation. Holy Masses at the Sanctuary were held from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, with a celebration dedicated to the elderly at the Cristo Re Church and "Music in the Square" with the Capo d'Orlando City Band at 9:00 AM. At 11:00 AM, the Solemn Mass on the mountain preceded the descent of the Virgin to the town.

In the afternoon, after the musical introduction at 4:15 PM on the church square, the solemn procession through the city streets began at 4:30 PM. The day concluded with the 6:30 PM Solemn Mass, a concert by Povia in Piazza Matteotti at 9:00 PM, and a fireworks display on the Andrea Doria seafront at 11:30 PM. The celebrations, accompanied by the large street fair and funfair, extended until the octave on October 26th.
