Festival of Maria Santissima del Mare

The 2025 Festival of Maria Santissima del Mare in Torrenova took place between Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27. The Saturday evening opened with mass at 9:30 PM, followed by the procession of the statue of the Madonna del Mare through the city streets.

On Sunday, July 27, after a day of prayer and mass at the Church of San Pietro Apostolo in the late afternoon, the traditional sea procession with the statue of Maria SS. del Mare was celebrated; due to adverse sea conditions, which made navigation impossible, the statue was accompanied on foot along the seafront. In the evening, in Piazza Mare, the free concert by Serena Brancale — fresh from the stage of the 2025 Sanremo Festival — enchanted the audience with her "Anema e Core Tour," blending soul, jazz, R&B, and singer-songwriter music. The festival confirmed its role as a flagship event of the Nebrodi summer.
