Festival of Friendship (Pentecost Bread Exchange)

The 2025 edition of the Festival of Friendship in Fobello confirmed the vitality of one of the most cherished traditions of the Valmastallone. As every year, the rite of the blessed Bread Exchange between Fobello and Rimella took place according to the calendar linked to the Ascension and Pentecost, with the welcoming of the people of Rimella in Fobello on Pentecost Sunday at the Parish Church of San Giacomo.

In an Alpine valley marked by depopulation, the festival represented a precious moment of meeting and renewal of the ancient bonds between the two communities, in the name of shared bread and friendship passed down from generation to generation.
