About Commerce Festival
Commerce and Crafts in Celebration
The Festival of Commerce and Crafts is one of the highlights of 'Cologno in Festa', the festival season that enlivens Cologno Monzese, in the province of Milan, between September and October. The festival involves the entire city center, with shops open, stalls of typical products and crafts along the streets and in Piazza Mentana, and an atmosphere that enhances the commercial and artisan activities of the area.
Flavors, Shows, and Awards
Among the street food stands and regional flavors — from polenta and zola to torta paesana, to 'ciuck' risotto — the parade of street artists accompanied by the band winds its way through. There is also space for civic engagement, with the awarding of city merits. For the little ones, a shuttle train connects the center to the Luna Park at the MM Cologno Centro stop.
The Dancing Fountains
As a prelude to the festival, on the evening of the day before, the dancing fountains show in Piazza XI Febbraio: a choreography of synchronized water jets, flames, lights, and music that anticipates the festive atmosphere. The event, promoted by the Municipality of Cologno Monzese, has free admission.

The Festival of Commerce and Crafts returns on Sunday, October 19, 2026, from 9 AM to 7 PM, in the city center of Cologno Monzese. Open shops, street food, and regional flavors, stalls of typical products and crafts, parade of street artists with the band, and awarding of civic merits. Shuttle train to the Luna Park at MM Cologno Centro. Preceding the festival, on Saturday, October 18 at 8:45 PM, the dancing fountains show in Piazza XI Febbraio. Free admission.
