Volunteering Celebrated

Once a year, in spring, the historic center of Romano di Lombardia (Province of Bergamo, Lombardy) becomes the showcase for the city's rich associative fabric. The Festival of Associations is an opportunity to meet local non-profit associations, groups, and organizations, which liven up the village streets with stands, demonstrations, and activities open to all.

A Day of Faith, Music, and Culture

The program opens in the morning with the setup of stands along the streets of the historic center, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. At noon, the Holy Mass for Associations is held, a moment of reflection dedicated to those involved in volunteering. In the afternoon, it's time for "Facciamo Festa!" (Let's Party!), with the G.B. Rubini Civic Music Corps and students from the city's comprehensive institutes as protagonists of a performance for the community.

Art at MACS

The day is enriched with a cultural offering at the Museum of Sacred Art and Culture (MACS), where students from the Don Lorenzo Milani High School present an exhibition dedicated to themes of identity and encounter. A way to link the festival of volunteering with reflection on the values of inclusion and active citizenship.

The Heart of Romano's Solidarity

Organized by the Culture and Sport Office of the Municipality of Romano di Lombardia, the Festival of Associations is an event that celebrates the city's social fabric. With free admission, it invites citizens to discover and support the many realities that, every day, contribute to the life of the Bergamo community.
