Edition 2025 — Festa Ranni

In 2025, Gibellina once again renewed its appointment with the Festa Ranni in honor of the Holy Crucifix, featuring religious rites, a solemn procession, and the traditional Prisenti Parade with caparisoned mules and Sicilian carts. The festival, deeply rooted in the identity of the Belìce Valley, confirmed its blend of popular devotion, folklore, and entertainment for the entire community.

The 2025 edition of the Festa Ranni brought back the traditional features of the great Holy Crucifix festival to Gibellina, in the province of Trapani. The heart of the celebrations was, as per custom, the Prisenti Parade: riders on mules adorned with embroidered silk, horse-drawn Sicilian carts, marching bands, and folk groups, along with the ritual tossing of sweets to the crowd. Alongside the parade, religious rites took place—the enthronement of the statue, Eucharistic celebrations, and the solemn procession of the Crucifix through the town streets—confirming the festival as the most heartfelt moment of the year for the Gibellina community and the entire Belìce Valley.
