The Patrons of Montorio
The Patronal Festival of Saint Constantius and Saint Anthony is the most important celebration in Montorio nei Frentani, in the province of Campobasso. The two saints — Saint Constantius the Martyr and Saint Anthony of Padua — have been the patrons and protectors of the town since June 12, 1741, the day the relics of Saint Constantius arrived.
Devotion and Tradition
The festival, held on June 12th and 13th, features solemn religious celebrations and a captivating procession that winds through the streets of Montorio with the statues of the saints and the urn containing the patron's relics. The services are accompanied by musical bands, small orchestras in the square, and fireworks, in an atmosphere of great popular participation.

In the Jubilee year, the 'Sacred Deposit' with the relics of Saint Constantius was exceptionally displayed, testifying to the deep devotion of this village in Basso Molise.

Montorio nei Frentani (CB) is reachable from the SS87; from the A14 motorway, exit at Termoli, then head inland. The celebrations take place at the Church of Santa Maria Assunta and in the town center.
