A New Patronal Festival
In Carbonate, a municipality in the Province of Como bordering the Varese area, the first patronal festival of the Pastoral Community, uniting the parishes of Mozzate, Carbonate, and Locate Varesino, begins in 2026. This is an unprecedented event, bringing together the journey of three once-distinct communities under a single spiritual banner.
In the Spirit of Mother Antonia
The common thread of the festival is the figure of Mother Antonia, explored through four thematic days: her charisma, her educational commitment, and her relationship with the Eucharist. The celebration coincides with the solemnity of Corpus Domini and guides the community through a journey that touches the churches and oratories of Carbonate, Locate Varesino, and Mozzate in turn.
Four Days Across the Three Parishes
From the welcoming of the relic to Eucharistic adoration, from evening testimonies to activities for middle and elementary school children, culminating in a solemn celebration and the final Eucharistic procession through the streets of Carbonate, the festival intertwines liturgical and community dimensions. This inaugural event aims to become a new point of reference for the Como area bordering the Province of Varese.
Patronale Comunità Pastorale — edition 2026
The inaugural edition of the Patronal Festival of the Pastoral Community is held from June 4th to 7th, 2026, across Carbonate, Locate Varesino, and Mozzate, in the Province of Como, coinciding with the solemnity of Corpus Domini.

Thursday, June 4th
- 5:30 PM — Welcoming of the relic at the parish church of Carbonate, followed by Holy Mass
Friday, June 5th — Mother Antonia's Charisma
- 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM — Holy Mass in Locate Varesino with Eucharistic adoration; relic displayed at the Baptistery for personal prayer
- 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM — Testimony at the oratory of Locate Varesino
Saturday, June 6th — Mother Antonia and Education
- 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM — Activities for middle schoolers at the oratory of Mozzate; relic displayed in the church of Mozzate
- 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM — Testimony at the oratory of Mozzate
Sunday, June 7th — Corpus Domini, Mother Antonia, and the Eucharist
- 10:00 AM — Solemn celebration in the church of Carbonate
- 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM — Activities for summer oratory leaders in Carbonate
- 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM — Activities for elementary school children
- 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM — Eucharistic procession through the streets of Carbonate
