Festa di Santa Maria Maddalena

In 2025 too, Castiglione del Lago honoured its patron saint, Saint Mary Magdalene, on July 22nd. The statue of the saint was carried in procession through the village streets and, most notably, on the waters of Lake Trasimeno: embarked at Lido Arezzo, it crossed the lake accompanied by a charming flotilla of decorated and illuminated boats, until disembarking at Lido Comunale.

The celebration, rooted in a cult documented since 1014, concluded with a fireworks display over the lake. An event that annually unites devotional and community dimensions, confirming the strong bond between Castiglione del Lago and its Trasimeno.
