In 2025, Castelpetroso also celebrated its patron saint Maria SS. Addolorata on the last Sunday of August, with religious rites, a procession, and popular celebrations that animate the village in the province of Isernia, land of the famous Sanctuary of the Apparitions.

The Festa di Maria SS. Addolorata is the most important patronal festival in Castelpetroso, renewed every year on the last Sunday of August. In 2025, the village in the province of Isernia honored its patron saint, venerated throughout Molise, with religious celebrations, a procession, and popular festivities.

The festival, distinct from the major anniversary of the Apparitions on March 22nd, confirmed the community's deep connection to the devotion to the Addolorata.
