In 2025, the Contrada Viarella once again hosted the Festa der Contadino at the Campo Sportivo in Cascine di Buti, confirming the mid-June appointment with traditional Tuscan peasant cuisine. Evening food stalls featured Pisan rural dishes and live music, as part of the rich calendar of summer festivals in Buti.

Festa der Contadino 2025

The 2025 edition of the Festa der Contadino enlivened the Campo Sportivo in Cascine di Buti in mid-June, organized by the Contrada Viarella. As per tradition, the food stalls offered evening dishes from the Pisan peasant cuisine—from cold cuts and crostini to main courses of salt cod, tripe, sausages, and steaks—with live music after dinner.

The event confirmed itself as one of the most heartfelt appointments in the calendar of summer festivals in Buti and Cascine di Buti, an occasion for celebration and conviviality for the local community and visitors to the area.
