"Magiche Lucerne" 2025

The 2025 edition was a special case in the history of the Festa delle Lucerne: not the four-year appointment, but an extraordinary edition wanted for the Jubilee Year and presented as a preview of the "natural" festival of 2026. From July 28 to August 5, the Borgo Casamale of Somma Vesuviana, in the province of Naples, returned to light up with oil lamps.

On July 31, the new geometric shape of the lamp was inaugurated at Vico Castello and, in the afternoon, artists from all over Italy installed the works of the international competition La Lucerna Incantata along the four gates of the village. From August 1, the lamps were lit every evening at 9:00 PM, accompanied by theatrical scenes, immersive audio guides, and narrative QR codes scattered throughout the alleys.

The Castle of Lucrezia D'Alagno hosted the collective exhibition Artinsieme every evening from 7:00 PM, with over one hundred paintings and photographs, while from August 1 to 3, the "Tappeto delle Nuvole" area was dedicated to children with games and creative workshops. There was no shortage of show cooking on local cuisine, with tastings and gastronomic stories of Vesuvius identity.
