Festa delle Castagne

The 2025 edition of the Festa delle Castagne took place on Sunday, October 19th, in Miradolo Terme, Piazza del Comune. The autumn sagra celebrated the chestnut and the flavours of peasant tradition from the Bassa pavese region, with a mix of food and wine stalls, popular games, and live music.

Among the specialities offered were chestnuts, fried pumpkin, chestnut risotto tasted in the late afternoon, tripe, and 'patuna'. Lunch was served by reservation from 12:30 PM, while in the afternoon the Greased Pole, a wooden pole over ten metres high, was the main attraction, drawing onlookers and participants in a cheerful test of skill.
