Edition 2025 — Festa della Montagna

In 2025 too, the Festa della Montagna brought faithful, hikers, and families to the plateau of the church of Santa Maria Maddalena, in the Sibillini Mountains. On the day dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene, the communities of the municipalities meeting around the small Romanesque church renewed the tradition of processions, open-air mass, and popular festival at altitude.

The 2025 edition of the Festa della Montagna took place around July 22nd at the church of Santa Maria Maddalena, at 1112 meters in the Monti Sibillini National Park, above Bolognola (MC). As every year since 2007, the ancient Romanesque church once again became the heart of the mountain for a day.

The day confirmed its traditional format: processions ascending from nearby villages, mass celebrated outdoors in the high-altitude meadows, and convivial and folkloric moments that attract a growing audience. An event that combines devotion, nature, and the identity of the Sibillini communities.
