Giussano's autumn festival

The Festa della Madonna d'Ottobre, linked to the devotion for the Madonna del Rosario, is one of the most cherished events in Giussano, a municipality in the province of Monza and Brianza. It traditionally takes place on the first Sunday and the first Monday of October, transforming the town centre into a large festival area.

Fair, rides, and food

The heart of the event is the "fierone", the large trade fair that takes over via Massimo D'Azeglio and the central streets, alongside funfair rides, a luna park, and exhibition stands. The food stalls offer traditional flavours, in an atmosphere that attracts families and visitors from all over the Brianza region.

Shows and fireworks

The programme is packed with entertainment: music, comedy acts, folk dances, acrobatics, and artistic performances liven up the days. The most anticipated moment is the fireworks display which, on Monday evening, lights up the sky from Parco Nicholas Green, providing the grand finale to the festival.

A Pro Loco festival

The event is organised by the Pro Loco of Giussano, with the patronage and support of the Municipality. All events are free and open to the public: the Festa della Madonna d'Ottobre is, above all, an opportunity to come together, enjoy outdoor activities, and renew the community's bond with its traditions.
