Festa della Fica Festival

The Festa della Fica 2025 was held in Marittima (Diso, Lecce) on Saturday, August 16, with a day scheduled from dawn until late at night. At dawn, the FiGara took place—the manual harvesting of figs in the countryside with weighing and awarding of prizes to participants. In the afternoon and evening, food stands and craft markets featuring typical products opened, while the courtyards and squares of the village hosted art exhibitions and a scientific conference dedicated to fig culture.

The highlight of the evening took place in Piazza Principe Umberto with the Super Taranta, a pizzica show directed by Antonio Castrignanò and Mauro Durante, bringing together some of the most iconic voices of Salento music on the same stage. To close the night, the DJ set by Ciccio Riccio in Tour 2025 transformed the square into an open-air disco until 1:30 AM.
