Festa del Soccorso (Solemn Celebrations in honor of Maria SS. del Soccorso)

The 2025 edition of the Festa del Soccorso took place in San Severo from May 17 to 21, renewing the secular devotion to Maria Santissima del Soccorso, the city's patron saint. The program followed the usual pattern that intertwines the sacred and the popular: solemn Eucharistic celebrations presided over by the Bishop, the great Procession of Paradise with the statues of the patron saint and the saints, brass band matinées, and the 2nd Fujente Festival.

The heart of the festival, as per tradition, were the 'alla sanseverese' batteries with the spectacular Fujenti run, accompanied by grand evening fireworks displays. The event, organized by the Municipality of San Severo and the Archconfraternity of Maria SS. del Soccorso in the province of Foggia, confirmed its role as the most deeply felt identity-defining event of the Alto Tavoliere.
