The Festa d'Estate di Casaloldo
The Festa d'Estate is the summer festival of the Municipality of Casaloldo, in the province of Mantova, in the Alto Mantovano area bordering the Bresciano region. It takes place in mid-June at the municipal sports ground and, despite being a recently established event, it has already become one of the most popular gatherings of the summer in the village.
The Cuisine
Every evening, the food stalls open from 7:30 PM with a menu of local specialities. On weekends, spit-roasted meat with polenta is the star, accompanied by draught beer and a cocktail bar. The simple yet well-catered formula is one of the reasons for the festival's success.
For Families and Enthusiasts
The Festa d'Estate is also designed for families: a play area with inflatables is set up for children, while the display of Vespa Piaggio scooters, much appreciated by vintage engine enthusiasts, has found a place among the side events. The evenings are enlivened by music, in a typical Mantuan village festival atmosphere.
