When Calabria meets Lombardy
In Albizzate, a municipality in the Varese area, the Festa Calabro Lombarda celebrates the meeting between two gastronomic cultures that are only apparently distant. For three days, the stands will offer traditional dishes from both regions, from the most authentic Calabrian cuisine to Lombard recipes, in a dialogue of flavours that also tells the story of migration that links Northern and Southern Italy.
Live music every evening
The festival takes place in Piazza IV Novembre, in the Albizzate Festival Area, with food stands opening in the evening and live concerts. The programme alternates tribute bands and musical groups that liven up the evenings, transforming the square into a meeting point for families and lovers of good food.
An event with a purpose
What makes this event special is its solidarity dimension: organised by the Albizzatese Solidarity Committee (C.S.A.) with the patronage of the Municipality, it donates all proceeds to the municipal Social Services. Participating therefore means concretely supporting the solidarity initiatives of the area.
Festa Calabro Lombarda — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Festa Calabro Lombarda runs from June 12 to 14 in the Piazza IV Novembre Festival Area in Albizzate. Three days of gastronomy blending traditional Calabrian and Lombard dishes, with stands opening in the evening and live music every night.
The initiative is organised by the Albizzatese Solidarity Committee with municipal patronage; proceeds are entirely donated to the Social Services of the Municipality of Albizzate.

How to get here
Albizzate can be reached by car from the A8 dei Laghi motorway and the SS33 del Sempione. The Albizzate-Solbiate Arno railway station is on the Milan-Gallarate-Varese line. The festival takes place in Piazza IV Novembre.
Opening hours
Food stands open in the evening (from 7:30 PM); on Sundays also at lunchtime. Free admission.
