Ferriera Carnival

The 2025 Ferriera Carnival, organized by the Gruppo San Maurizio with the support of the Municipality of Buttigliera Alta, reaffirmed the vitality of the Magnin and Magninota tradition. The edition opened on February 12 with the investiture and the symbolic handing over of the town keys by the mayor to the local masks, the Tinsmith and his wife, played by Pietro and Filomena D'Ambrosio.

On Saturday, February 22, the parade of costumed groups wound through the streets of Ferriera, starting from Piazza San Maurizio and arriving at Piazza Jougne, where there was no shortage of bugie, hot chocolate, and mulled wine. Among the groups awarded for the best costumes were the "Pirates" from the San Marco Oratory of Buttigliera and the "W la scuola" group, featuring parents and children.
