Edition 2025 — Ferrara Palio
The 2025 edition of the Ferrara Palio featured the usual long calendar of processions, flag games, and homages preceding the Palio Races. The four races were held on May 31, 2025, in Piazza Ariostea, before a large audience. San Giacomo shone by winning both the boys' race and the horse race, securing its sixteenth triumph in the yellow Palio of San Giorgio, a record.
Ferrara Palio 2025
The Palio Races for the 2025 edition were held on May 31 in Piazza Ariostea, Ferrara. The boys' race (red Palio of San Romano) was won by San Giacomo with Devid Boldrini; the girls' race (green Palio of San Paolo) by San Giorgio with Francesca Campagnoli; the donkey race (white Palio of San Maurelio) by Santo Spirito; and the horse race (yellow Palio of San Giorgio) again by San Giacomo, in a photo finish, for its sixteenth victory on horseback, a record.
