Edition 2025 — Ferragosto Bassianese

From August 14th to 24th, 2025, Bassiano hosted the Ferragosto Bassianese and the Feast of Saint Roch, with a rich calendar of religious, cultural, gastronomic, and musical events in the historic center. On August 15th, Holy Mass, exhibitions, and from the afternoon, traditional games in the square and food stalls with prosciutto di Bassiano; on August 16th, the solemn procession of Saint Roch with the "Aldo Pio Manuzio" band, live music, bingo, and fireworks.

2025 Edition

The Ferragosto Bassianese and Feast of Saint Roch 2025 took place in Bassiano (LT) from August 14th to 24th, with the heart of the festivities concentrated between August 15th and 16th, in Piazza Giacomo Matteotti and the medieval village.

The day of Ferragosto, August 15th, opened with Holy Mass and the inauguration of exhibitions; from the afternoon, starting at 6:00 PM, the traditional games returned—greasy pole, tug-of-war, and others—alongside the opening of the food stall with local specialties and the excellent prosciutto di Bassiano. In the evening, in Piazza Matteotti, a live music show was held.

August 16th, the day of Saint Roch, featured Holy Mass and the procession of the saint's statue through the village streets, starting at 6:00 PM, accompanied by the "Aldo Pio Manuzio" town band. The evening continued with the food stall, live music, the classic tombolata (bingo), and the grand finale with fireworks.

Programme

August 15th (Ferragosto): Holy Mass and opening of exhibitions; from 6:00 PM traditional games in the square (greasy pole, tug-of-war) and opening of the food stall with prosciutto di Bassiano; in the evening, live music in Piazza Matteotti. August 16th (Saint Roch): Holy Mass and, from 6:00 PM, procession of the statue of Saint Roch through the village streets accompanied by the "Aldo Pio Manuzio" town band; opening of the food stall, live music in the evening, bingo, and fireworks display to close the festival.
