The Ceppo Morelli sports field, in the municipality of the same name in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, has for years been the stage for amateur football tournaments that enliven the summer in Valle Anzasca. The Fulgor Vanzone team is one of the main players in these events, which attract players and fans from neighboring towns at the foot of Monte Rosa.

The tradition of summer 5-a-side football, with its familiar and convivial atmosphere, laid the foundations for the birth of the Felice Samonini Memorial, the tournament that, starting in 2026, dedicates a day of sport to the memory of a figure dear to the valley's football community.
