The 2025 Patronal Feast of Tottea

The 2025 edition of the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary renewed the most cherished annual appointment for Tottea, in the Municipality of Crognaleto (province of Teramo, Abruzzo), on September 8th. Faithful to a centuries-old tradition, the community of the upper Vomano valley gathered for the celebrations in honor of the Virgin, in the heart of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park.

The program followed the usual structure that intertwines the sacred and the popular: the novena, Holy Masses, the solemn Mass, and the procession through the village streets accompanied by a marching band, followed by civil festivities with entertainment and free live music. An occasion that, as every year, drew residents, returning emigrants, and visitors from across the Teramo hinterland.
