2025 Edition
On May 1st, 2025, the village of Isnello, in the province of Palermo, celebrated the Feast of the Most Holy Crucifix according to traditional rites. The Francesco Bajardi Musical Band opened the day by touring the village streets, followed by the Solemn Mass.
In the afternoon, the frottole—sacred hymns of the local tradition—were performed before the procession of the Crucifix of Santa Maria Maggiore, carried on the shoulders of the Assunta confraternity members barefoot, and the varicedda adorned with fava beans and wheat stalks.
