Edition 2025 — Feast of the Most Holy Crucifix

In 2025, Montemaggiore Belsito once again celebrated its Feast of the Most Holy Crucifix on May 3rd, with religious services and the procession of the statue through the streets of the historic center. The event, one of the most cherished in the Madonie, combined devotion and folk traditions, accompanied by the May Fair and St. Joseph’s Tables, in a moment of strong collective identity for the local community.

The 2025 edition of the Feast of the Most Holy Crucifix in Montemaggiore Belsito took place on May 3rd, renewing the devotion to the 15th-century wooden statue kept at the church of Santa Maria degli Angeli. The day featured liturgical celebrations and the solemn procession of the float through the town streets, with the participation of the faithful and confraternities. The May Fair and St. Joseph’s Tables were also renewed, serving as a vivid expression of Madonie folk culture in the province of Palermo.
